In 2002-2003, this home was restored by Lafayette Neighborhood Housing Services, Inc. LNHS and is now a single family residence. The neighbors were allowed to provide input on the color scheme and provided the impetus for replacing the wood porch floor with new wood.

   LNHS used a modern cement based fiber board for the exterior clapboard look that traditionally graced this house. This clapboard material looks very much like the original wood siding and holds paint very well. It expands and contracts less than real wood allowing for close cuts and less caulking for weather proofing purposes.

   LNHS received a Good Neighbor Award for their work on this home in 2003.
