This Prairie style home was built in 1914 by Alva E. Kemmer and his wife Blanche E. Kemmer (Sweeney). Mr. Kemmer was a noted builder whose work included several of Purdue University buildings, including the Physics building. This house is constructed from the same materials as many of the buildings on Purdue's campus. The architect was Charles W. Nicol and the style of the house is Prairie.

Alva E. Kemmer's company built the 10 story Lafayette Life building, in 1918 on the corner of 3rd and Main.

This is the home of longtime residents Dragoslav and Judy Panich.
