   This was the family residence of Mrs. Belle Stein, the daughter of Moses Atlass, a co-founder of Atlass Produce Company of Lafayette.

   On Dec. 16, 1919 Moses Atlass died here of complications from diseases.

   His widowed daughter Belle (Atlass) Stein is shown on the 1920 census as living in this home. Belle Atlass was married to Calvin F. Stein in Lafayette on Feb 6, 1898. Calvin Stein was a successful businessman from Peoria and the Steins lived in Peoria after the wedding.
