In 1899/1900, George R. Durgan and his wife T. Margaret lived here. Mr Durgan was mayor of Lafayette later in life. At this time, he was Secretary of C. Callahan Co. a wholesale grocery at the N. W. corner of 3rd and South Streets. Arround 1900, Mr. Durgan and his wife moved to 815 Brown.
